Whilst recognising the saying that “Charity Begins at Home,” The Stirling House Foundation seeks to raise funds for the benefit of children around the world as well as on our doorstep.
Here are just a few of the many fund raising events held throughout the years by Stirling House in aid of The Foundation.
Our Annual Conference for 2011 continued with another successful year at the Hilton Puckrup Hotel.
- The raffle and a competitions raised further funds for the Foundation.
- Kind thanks to our sponsors to the event and those donating raffle prizes.
The 2010 BBQ was held at The Inn at Stonehall, near Worcester. Many prizes were donated for the raffle which raised £750 for the young children of a recently deceased local man.
- Additionally, £1,300 was raised in the auction where some truly fabulous lots were on offer; including signed rugby balls, footballs and team shirts.
The Stirling House Conference 2010 raised yet more money for the Foundation.
- Over £2,000 was raised in the charity auction and raffle.
- Many items were kindly donated by product providers to Stirling House who generously sponsored the event.
The 2009 BBQ held near our Administration Centre in Welland was a great success. Everyone had a great day enjoying perfect weather.
- £1,500 was raised for a young local disabled boy from nearby Upton upon Severn. The money was used to widen their drive and improve wheelchair access – something not covered by government grants.
- A further £1,000 was raised for the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline.
Jason Lloyd of Stirling House ran the 2009 Cardiff Half Marathon knocking 3 minutes off his personal best!
